This world is fraught with trials and tribulations. The devil seeks to create havoc in people’s lives and can influence through oppression and possession (Job 1:6; 2:1; Matthew 8:28; 12:22; Mark 1:23; 5:1-20; 1 Peter 5:8; Ephesians 6:10-18). Jesus encourages us in John 16:33.

Therefore, because he has overcome the world, you too can overcome your trials and tribulations when you seek him and lean not to your own understanding, but acknowledge him in all your ways, and allow him to guide you on the right path (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Jesus is a deliverer (Psalm 34:4; 34:17; Jeremiah 15:21; Isaiah 43:2; 2 Thessalonians 3:2-4). He has power over all unclean spirits and gave his disciples authority to cast them out and to heal every disease and affliction (Matthew 4:24; Matthew 8:29; Matthew 10:1; Mark 5:7; Luke 4:33-36; Luke 8:26:39).
