The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 2,700 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 5 years to get that many views.

Thank you Lord for giving me
the brand New Year ahead.
Help me live the way I should
as each new day I tread.
Give me gentle wisdom
that I might help a friend.
Give me strength and courage
so a shoulder I might lend.
The year ahead is empty
Help me fill it with good things.
Each new day filled with joy,
and the happiness it brings.
Please give the leaders of our World
a courage born of peace.
That they might lead us gently
And all the fighting cease.
Please give to all upon this earth
a heart that’s filled with love.
A gentle happy way to live
With your blessings from above.
AMEN! We add our wishes to you for a 2013
filled with smiles, love, and sunny days!
by Charlotte Anselma
We wish you all life’s happiness and every lovely thing.
With days of golden sunshine and years of endless spring.
We wish you love abundantly, that never seems to cease;
Your daytimes filled with laughter and your nights with gentle peace.
To never feel the pain of want, to have the best of health;
May sorrow never cross your door, your purse be great with wealth.
But most of all We wish you this, the greatest wish there is,
That God will ever Bless YOU and will ever call you His!
DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS,
& A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich suggested on Wednesday that the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was tied to godlessness in contemporary American society.
Speaking to Brian Thomas of radio station 55KRC, Gingrich reflected on Friday’s shooting in Newtown, Connecticut which claimed the lives of 20 first-graders and six adults.
“When you have an anti-religious, secular bureaucracy and secular judiciary, seeking to drive God out of public life, something fills the vacuum,” Gingrich said. “I don’t know that going from communion to playing war games, in which you practice killing people is necessarily an improvement.”

There are never any easy answers to questions like “why” when a tragedy like this occurs. There are never always any right words to say to these victims. However, prayer makes a difference, and as our nation faces this terrible tragedy, all we can do is to say a prayer for the victims who have been directly impacted by this horrible situation.
