Exodus 14 records the story of how the Hebrews escaped from bondage and slavery in Egypt. On their way out of Egypt, they camped in the desert near the Red Sea. They thought God was leading them out of Egypt. However, Pharaoh led the Egyptian army to where the Israelites were, and he trapped them against the sea. The Israelites must have felt betrayed by God, for it looked as though he didn’t follow through on his plan to lead the Israelites out of captivity in Egypt. But God was faithful to his word — he didn’t let his people down. He led them through the Red Sea and delivered on his promises.

You have probably faced times when you thought that you could never do something, never complete a particular task, or never make it to the finish. However, if God has promised you something, then you can be confident that God will get you through the difficult times in order to bring about his promise.

This is true in Joseph’s life. God took him through years of pain and suffering for an ultimate benefit; Joseph realizes this and, in Genesis 50:20, says, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” God had a bigger plan for Joseph’s life, and God didn’t let him down. God led Joseph through his struggles.

This principle is also true in your life. Even though you may be going through extremely painful times, do not fear for God will get you through the hard times you face (see Psalm 23:4). If God took you to it, He’ll get you through it.

Prayer for Deliverance

Psalm 3

Lord, how many are my foes!
How many rise up against me!

Many are saying of me,
“God will not deliver him.”

But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high.

I call out to the Lord,
and he answers me from his holy mountain.

I lie down and sleep;
I wake again, because the Lord sustains me.

I will not fear though tens of thousands
assail me on every side.

Arise, Lord!
Deliver me, my God!
Strike all my enemies on the jaw;
break the teeth of the wicked.

From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people.

Serve the Lord

The Best Is Yet To Come!

Are you feeling like you’re at your wit’s end? Well, I bet as human being, everyone has their wit’s end moment. Notwithstanding, some people press forward, knowing that the best is yet to come; while others roll over and play dead.

If you’re at your wit’s end today, which choice will you make? Will you press forward, knowing that the best is yet to come? Or will you roll over and play dead?

If you chose the latter, you will not be able to function mentally or emotionally. Moreover, you will also have everything turning topsy-turvy in your life. When you are confused and disoriented, you can’t think straight. As a result, you don’t have the mental and spiritual energy to press forward. That’s why you have to try your best to keep it together, in order to see the outcome of the Lord’s promises in your life.

Having done this, you should hold on a little longer and take Jesus by His Words, because He never fails. Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God, even my God, will be with you; He will not fail you, nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord (1 Chronicles 28:20).

The best is yet to come!

Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe (Proverbs 29:25).

A person who is ruled by the fear of man is one whose decisions are dictated by what other people think. Such a person is a people-pleaser. One ruled by the fear of man will repeatedly base decisions on questions like “How does this make me look?”, “Do you think they’ll like it?”, or “What if they don’t approve?”. It is certainly not wrong to ask for input from other people (indeed, it’s wise to seek feedback from others); however, it is wrong—not just wrong, but foolish—for your decisions to be guided more by feedback from others than by feedback from God.

To fear God means to take him at his word, knowing that he will follow through on all his promises. A person who fears the Lord is one whose decisions are guided by God.

There are more than a dozen verses in the Bible that make very clear the advantage of being one whose life is guided by the fear of the Lord. Blessed is the man who fears the Lord (Psalm 112:1). Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor and life (Proverbs 22:4). The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Psalm 111:10). He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life (Proverbs 14:26-27).

It’s no wonder Proverbs 31:30 gives us this nugget of wisdom: Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

If you want the fear of God to guide your life, then base your actions on questions like “What does God think about this?”, “Would God approve of this?”, or “Would I do this if Jesus were right here watching me?”.

If you want your life to be blessed, let it be ruled by the fear of God.

The Lord Will Fight For You

Last night in a vision, I encountered a young girl, who was singing some songs that were not reaching her audience. I then directed her to sing the following song, which resonated well with her audience. I will include the first few lines along with the video of the song itself.

God sent His son, they called Him Jesus
He came to love, heal and forgive
He lived and died to buy my pardon
An empty grave is there to prove my savior lives

Because He lives, I can face tomorrow
Because He lives, all fear is gone
Because I know He holds the future
And life is worth the living, just because He lives

As I re-directed this young girl in my vision to switch to this song, I woke up realizing what this song means. This is a song that depicts how Jesus came into this world, because of the love that God has for us. His birth was for a purpose – a purpose to save mankind from sins and to give us hope and peace. Hence, I definitely believe God gave me a word in season, to share with others, that no matter the circumstances of life and what you have been through; because He lives, you can face tomorrow.

If you are struggling to find your way to Jesus, remember He came to love, heal and forgive. Therefore, as we approach the new year, you have a choice – a choice to renew or direct your life into His hands. Forget the failures of 2013, and trust God to lead you into 2014. He is more than a conqueror.

I just want to remind you that you have been fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14). With that being said, you know that you are not just here by chance. God created you with a purpose in mind, so you have to press to pursue your purpose.

The question you need to ask yourself as you are preparing to say goodbye to 2013, is: How many of my God-given purpose(s) have I accomplished in 2013? If you have faltered along the way, don’t worry; you are alive, and that means you still have hopes and a purpose(s) to accomplish.

So be proactive, and press to pursue your purpose(s) in 2014!

God bless you!

If you know the Lord is keeping you, what are you worrying about?

Fear Not!

nofear

Fear ties you up; discouragement ties you down.

Fear says “you’d better not do it”; discouragement says, “it can’t be done.”

Fear trips you up; discouragement keeps you from getting up.

Fear wants you not to begin; discouragement wants you to quit.

Fear avoids the battle; discouragement throws in the towel.

Fear gives you the chills; discouragement gives you the blues.

Fear shuts you down; discouragement shuts you off.

Fear paralyzes; discouragement demoralizes.

Fear waves the flag of danger; discouragement waves the flag of defeat.

Fear deters; discouragement disqualifies.

Fear wants you to worry about the future; discouragement says you have no future.
