They say a picture is worth a thousand words. I decided to share this picture with you, to illustrate that in life, it’s not the amount of money you have, the position you occupy, or the fact that you have it all, that brings you true happiness and peace.
You can have all these things, and still be miserable. You do not have to be rich and famous to be happy. It’s the little things that count, such as the thought of having the persons you love and care about by your side, which can definitely give you that motivation to go on.
Having it all, does not prove true happiness and peace in itself. Happiness simply means, being thankful to the Lord for all you have!
“I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:11-13) NIV
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
When you have been hurt by someone who you thought had your back, do you become ignorant, bitter, or revengeful?
Although your experience might be very painful, and you did not expect to go through such pain from that person, just remember that some people come into your life for a blessing, while others come into your life for a lesson.
I once heard a saying that,”There are two circumstances under which you will know your true friends, 1: When God starts blessing you, and 2: When you are down on your luck.
Life is a learning process. When you have gone through various testing, trials and tribulations, and rode out the storm with God, then he will start to bless you. However, some people will of course be happy for you, and welcome your new blessings, while others will be jealous and negative. They do not care what you have been through, to get your blessings, as their hearts are deceitful and desperately sick (Jeremiah 17:9). In the greatest time of your testing, trials and tribulations, you will know who will have your back, and who will not.
Nevertheless, there are some genuine people around, and they are the ones who will withstand the test of time, and be a blessing in your life. The ones who simply were not genuine, do not be regretful that you have known them, instead be happy that you did, as you have learned a lesson from them, in whichever way things have worked out in your life.
2] So, why is a car’s windshield so large and the rear view mirror so small? This is so, because our past is not as important as our future. So, look ahead and move on.
3]Friendship is like a book. It takes years to write, but only a few seconds to burn.
4] All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, it will not last forever. If going wrong, don’t worry, it can’t last long either.
5]Old friends are Gold! New friends are Diamonds! If you get a Diamond, don’t forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a base of Gold!
6] Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above and says, “Relax, sweetheart, it’s just a bend, not the end!
7] When God solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when God doesn’t solve your problems, HE has faith in your abilities.
8] A blind person asked St. Anthony: “Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?” He replied: “Yes, losing your vision!”
9] When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them; and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.
10] Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles, it takes away today’s peace.
