If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I am a Healer? If you never had to pray, how would you know that I am a Deliverer? If you never had a trial, how could you call yourself an over-comer? If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I am a Comforter? If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I am a forgiver? If you knew all, how would you know that I will answer your questions? If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to your rescue? If you never were broken, then how would you know that I can make you whole? If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them? If you never had any suffering, then how would you know what I went through? If you have never gone through the fire, then how would you become pure? If I gave you all things, without you having to go through anything to get them, how would you appreciate them?
If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you?
If you had all power, then how would you learn to depend on me? If your life was perfect, then what would you need me for? Love, Jesus |
The Difference
I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish, I didn’t have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me and grew heavier with each task;
Why doesn’t God help me, I wondered; He answered, “You didn’t ask.”
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn’t show me – He said, “But you didn’t seek.”
I tried to come into God’s presence; I used all my keys at the lock;
God gently and lovingly chided, “My child, you didn’t knock.”
I woke up early this morning and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)
Today is Friday, and I do hope your week has been a great one. If not, I implore you to look forward to the weekend, and spend the time you need to exhale from your exhausted week.
I do hope you are feeling the spirit of comradeship, where you can share in some sort of fun activities this weekend. Even if your spirit is a bit dampened for whatever reasons, I hope you can still feel a sense of peace and joy.
As you revel in the celebration of Memorial Day, do not forget to remember those who have given their lives while serving our country.
