We would like to wish you a Happy New Year, as you bid farewell to 2020. The year 2021 is a time to start fresh, despite any obstacles that you may have faced in 2020. If you have not come to know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, 2021 is the time to embark on building a personal relationship with him. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17, ESV). Remember to use your time wisely, as life is short, and our days are numbered (Psalm 90:12). Finally, do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6, NIV).
In this era of uncertainty, as the world continues to grapple with the effect of COVID-19, you sometime wonder if you are alone, as you go through life’s struggles. Christmas 2020 may not be the same for you, as it was during other times. Your life may have changed as a result of a tragedy, such as, the loss of a loved one, a life-threatening medical diagnosis, a divorce, or a financial uncertainty. Regardless of such life-changing tragedies, there is one certainty that you can be assured of, and that is, “God with us” (Matthew 1:23). This scripture highlights the joy that came into the world, “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us).
It is comforting to know that with all the evil and uncertainty happening in the world today, that your hope is not embedded in this world. You have an eternal home, of which you are a citizen, as you are just a visitor on this earth. But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ (Philippians 3:20, ESV). Find joy, peace, and hope, knowing that, “God with us,” as you go through your journey here on this earth.
A Prayer for Joy, Peace, and Hope
Lord, Jesus, it is sometimes difficult to find joy, peace, and hope in the midst of life’s struggles and uncertainty. However, thank you for the reminder of Immanuel, “God with us.” Therefore, I look to you for that courage and strength to experience joy, peace, and hope, despite my circumstances. You are worthy of my praise, no matter what I am facing in my life. Help me to continue to pray and trust you to work through every situation that I am facing today.
A name is a personal identification and can have different meanings for some people. There is a special name that has a very powerful meaning. The scripture declares that she will bear a son, and you shall call his name JESUS, for he will save his people from their sins (Matthew 1:21, ESV). Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father (Philippians 2:9-11, ESV).
Jesus is the Savior who brought salvation to this earth. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord (Luke 2:11, ESV). Salvation is a free gift that God gave us through his son, Jesus, so that we can be saved from the consequences of our sins. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, ESV).
Jesus is the reason for the season. Therefore, as we prepare for the celebration of Christmas, in honor of Jesus, remember the reason that he came to this earth.
These four R’s will guide your steps to salvation.
Realize that you are a sinner. For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:10; 23; Rom. 5:12; Eccles. 7:20).
Recognize that Jesus came to this earth, died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead (Rom. 5:8; Rom.10:9; John 3:16; 1 Pet. 3:18; 1 Cor. 6:14).
Repent of your sins and be baptized (Acts 2:38; Mark 16:16; 1 John 1:9; Luke 5:32; Matt. 4:17).
Receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior (John 1:12; John 3:3-5: Rom. 6:23; Rom. 10:10; Mark 10:15).
In a perilous time such as this, where the world is in a turmoil, is war inevitable? There is no guarantee that war will cease, but there is a guarantee that you can have peace in the midst of war. The greatest gift that God has given us, is His son – Jesus. In light of this, amidst all the trials and tribulations of this world, Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33).
As Jesus made His entry into this world, there was a great rejoicing, because the prophesy has been fulfilled. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men (St. Luke 2:10-11:14).
As we approach the birth of Jesus, remember that there’s still hope and a future. Jesus came that you will have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Therefore, your enemy has been defeated by the power of Jesus. Remember the reason that Jesus came, that you will have life and have it more abundantly.
By and large, as you go through this season, reflect on Him as a savior who came not only to give you salvation, but to deliver you from all evil.

As you prepare to go deeper into 2017, I would love to share the fact that God is waiting on you. You need to allow Him to lead you, as you go through your journey. His voice is calling out to you, and you need to answer Him, by saying, “Savior, don’t you pass me by.” I heard the voice of Jesus saying, “my people need me, as they continue to fight their battles on their own, and are getting no results.” Let Him fight for you (Exodus 14:14).
Jesus is passing by your way today. As He passes by, listen to His voice, and hears what is your ultimate purpose for 2017. The Lord will instruct you and teach you the way which you will go. He will guide you with His eye (Psalms 32:8). Avoid the distraction of the enemies and the naysayers. It’s not about what others think, but what God has already instructed you to do. He has given you a vision, and He is getting ready to manifest Himself to you through that vision. Get yourself prepared, as you hearken unto His leading and directions.
The time is getting shorter everyday, and you cannot sit idly by, while your vision perish. God is not waiting for you to be equipped, because He has already laid down the foundation for you. He has the blue print ready to go. He is just waiting on you. As you seek Him more, and lean not to your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6), He will guide your every step of the way. All you have to do now is to let go and let God, as you tell Him, “Savior, don’t you pass me by.”

Last night in a vision, I encountered a young girl, who was singing some songs that were not reaching her audience. I then directed her to sing the following song, which resonated well with her audience. I will include the first few lines along with the video of the song itself.
God sent His son, they called Him Jesus He came to love, heal and forgive He lived and died to buy my pardon An empty grave is there to prove my savior lives
Because He lives, I can face tomorrow Because He lives, all fear is gone Because I know He holds the future And life is worth the living, just because He lives
As I re-directed this young girl in my vision to switch to this song, I woke up realizing what this song means. This is a song that depicts how Jesus came into this world, because of the love that God has for us. His birth was for a purpose – a purpose to save mankind from sins and to give us hope and peace. Hence, I definitely believe God gave me a word in season, to share with others, that no matter the circumstances of life and what you have been through; because He lives, you can face tomorrow.
If you are struggling to find your way to Jesus, remember He came to love, heal and forgive. Therefore, as we approach the new year, you have a choice – a choice to renew or direct your life into His hands. Forget the failures of 2013, and trust God to lead you into 2014. He is more than a conqueror.
I just want to remind you that you have been fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalms 139:14). With that being said, you know that you are not just here by chance. God created you with a purpose in mind, so you have to press to pursue your purpose.
The question you need to ask yourself as you are preparing to say goodbye to 2013, is: How many of my God-given purpose(s) have I accomplished in 2013? If you have faltered along the way, don’t worry; you are alive, and that means you still have hopes and a purpose(s) to accomplish.
So be proactive, and press to pursue your purpose(s) in 2014!
