People who live in affluence for all of life (such as many people in North America and Western Europe) can easily become so accustomed to wealth, blessings, and prosperity that they can easily forget what blessings they actually have. However, if those possessions are taken away, those people will certainly look at life with a new perspective, realizing how much they really had.

You don’t realize how much you have until you don’t have it anymore.

God knows the importance of balance; that is, the importance of having both blessings and difficulties. There are several scriptures that speak about this balance. For example in 1 Peter 4:13, we are told: Rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. Notice how we participate both in suffering and in joy.

Similarly, in 2 Corinthians 1:7, Paul wrote this to the church in Corinth: And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. They experienced both suffering and comfort.

Don’t become too comfortable with what you have, because when you forget that the things you have are a blessing from God and when you start to assume that they are guaranteed possessions, it is quite possible that God will take them away from you in order to teach you that you need both blessings and difficulties, because one without the other is neither.

busylife

Have you ever found yourself so busy working for God that you neglect to spend time with God?

It can be easy to be deceived into thinking that doing religious works is just as good as spending personal time with God. However, you will not grow spiritually if you don’t spend time with God.

Good works will not get you into Heaven; you must have a personal relationship with Jesus. In Matthew 7:22-23, Jesus said, concerning Judgment Day, “Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'” Those people thought that because they did good things in the name of Jesus they could get into Heaven. Instead, Jesus surprised them by saying, “I never knew you.”

Therefore, don’t get so caught up in your good works that you forget to know God. Make it your goal to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well (Matthew 6:33).

If all of your good works have made you so busy that you don’t spend any time with God, then those good works have become bad works, because they are replacing your time with God.

When Enough Is Really Enough

When trials and tribulations are too much to bear, you might wonder when enough is really enough. However, every tribulation you encounter has to run its course. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation works patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope makes us not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us (Romans 5:3-5).

There are various tribulations that you will encounter in this world, but every tribulation will make you stronger. You have to thank God in all circumstances, as you don’t know what He’s working out through them. So instead of moping over your broken heart, thank God that your heart has been broken. Had it not been broken, how would you learn to be strong?

How can you learn how to stand, if you have never fallen? That’s where trust and faith comes in. Through any situation that you encounter, there’s a purpose. As a result, you must remember that God will work through it for your good (Romans 8:28). I am sure so many times, you have proven this to be true. It’s always great to have everything good in life, without having to go through any bad times, but this world is far from perfect. God did not promise you days without pain, laughter without sorrow, or sunshine without rain. All in all, He did promised strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.

Maintain your peace at all times, says the Lord. To do that you have to stay focused spiritually and not allow frustration to open the door to an attack of the enemy. Be calm and continue to trust that I will show you the way through every challenge even when it has become a maze of confusion. Preserve your poise. (Poise is defined as a stably balanced state, equilibrium, self-assurance, gracious tact in coping).

Isaiah 26:3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

People in the world are desperately looking for answers: answers to problems, answers to difficult questions, answers to pain and suffering — everyone wants answers to life’s questions. But so many people look for right answers in all the wrong places: psychics, mediums, weegie boards, star charts, spiritists, astrological signs, and other similar places. Sadly, some of the most visited sites on the Internet contain popular horoscopes.

However, God sternly warns His people not to turn to such things. In Leviticus 19:31, God tells us, “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.” Only a few verses later, He again warns: “I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people” (Leviticus 20:6).

The Bible instructs us not to turn to worldly things for answers. Instead, we are to turn to Jesus, who is the way and the truth and the life (John 14:6). Jesus is not one of the ways; He is the way. You will get real answers to life’s difficult questions only from God.

So, instead of spending $3.99 per minute looking for right answers in wrong places, turn to the all-knowing God, himself, the creator of the universe!

“Why Am I Here?”

Have you ever ask yourself, “Why am I here?” I guess if you are seeking to find out why you are here, you have been thinking about your God-given purpose(s) here on this earth.  Jesus came that you might have life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). Having done this, He has a purpose for you to fulfill, and that is to walk in your Kingdom assignment(s). However, many people today have not identify their Kingdom assignment(s). They are just living their day-to-day life trying to get all that they desire from this life. Although this may be so, when you seek your Kingdom assignment(s) first, whatever you desire in this life, God will give it to you (Matthew 6:33).

You have got to strike a balance on this earth. You have to take care of your day-to-day affairs, realize your dreams, but at the same time, maintain a spiritual relationship with God. At the end of it all, when you see Jesus, what report will you give to Him? What are you going to tell Him that you have done for Him while you were here? Will you hear, “Well done, you good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21)?

Why worry about tomorrow? If you trust the Lord to take care of your needs, while you take care of His business, you do not have to worry about what the future holds. “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much better than they” (Matthew 6:25-26)?

Life is short, by the time you look around, you’re not the young vibrant person you used to be, and before you know it, life is over! Moreover, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. With that being said, you have got to live life to the fullest, but do not forget that at the end of if it all, you have a report to give to the Lord. Have you fulfilled your Kingdom assignment(s) while you were here on this earth?

If you are walking in your Kingdom assignment (s), you will still need to find out if there are other assignments that God wants you to reposition to. Also, if you have not started walking in your Kingdom assignment(s), you will need to start asking God what He wants you to do in His Kingdom. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

“Only one life, ’twill soon be past, only what’s done for Christ will last” (C.T. Studd) .

Love, Jesus

Jesus loves you

If you never felt pain, then how would you know that I am a Healer?
If you never had to pray, how would you know that I am a Deliverer?

If you never had a trial, how could you call yourself an over-comer?

If you never felt sadness, how would you know that I am a Comforter?

If you never made a mistake, how would you know that I am a forgiver?

If you knew all, how would you know that I will answer your questions?

If you never were in trouble, how would you know that I will come to your rescue?

If you never were broken, then how would you know that I can make you whole?

If you never had a problem, how would you know that I can solve them?

If you never had any suffering, then how would you know what I went through?

If you have never gone through the fire, then how would you become pure?

If I gave you all things, without you having to go through anything to get them, then how would you appreciate them?

If I never corrected you, how would you know that I love you?

If you had all power, then how would you learn to depend on me?

If your life was perfect, then what would you need me for?

Love, Jesus

You Shall Be Delivered!

Are you going through sickness, demonic oppressions and attacks, as well as various tribulations?

You shall be delivered. I hear the prophetic voice saying, “Deliverance has come!”

Praises be to God for his tender mercies towards you. It’s not over until God says it’s over. I would like to speak deliverance into your life, as you battle the strong-hold of darkness.

The enemy can’t win, because greater is He who is in you, than He who is in the world.  Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, for ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

The spirit of darkness is powerless before the Spirit of light. As I pray over each and every circumstance that hold you captive today, I want to declare that the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (2 Corinthians 3:17).

I declare liberty in your life today!

Be free in the name of Jesus! Be free in the name of Jesus! Be free in the name of Jesus!

Your mountainous problems are not too big for God to handle. Use faith to conquer fear, and confidence to conquer doubt today.

Have you ever felt that God isn’t with you? That when life became tough and darkened God abandoned you? Such a feeling is common to many Christians. However, you must not rely on feelings; instead, you must rely on faith, knowing that God is always there—you just may not always be able to see him in your circumstances. That’s why faith is so important.

Hebrews 11:1 defines faith as being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. For example, if a family member dies, you may understandably question whether or not God could possibly be with you during such difficult times. However, by faith, you can be certain of what [you] do not see—certain that God was there watching over the whole situation.

Romans 4:19-21 describes how Abraham had faith even though it looked like God could never do what he said he would: Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

In his dark circumstances, Abraham could still see God—he had faith. That’s the same type of faith to which God is calling you.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8).”

Are you being attacked by demons and going through demonic warfare? You have to be aware of the different demons that the devil puts out there to attack you.  Be watchful in the spirit. A lot of trials and tribulations that people face today can be an attack from the enemy. The enemy comes to kill, steal and to destroy (John 10:10).

The enemy sends different evil spirits on different assignments. Some of these demons are demons of warfare to cause mayhem, harm, confusion and strife. There are demons of sickness, who cause ailments and diseases in one’s body. There are demons of death, who will stop at nothing to take your life. In light of this, you have to be extra vigilant of strange spirits that lurk around your home.

Don’t think that demons cannot enter your home, because you are a Christian. Demons go to church too. This is so, because they want to try to create mayhem and paralyze the work of God. However, you need to have a spirit of discernment to detect demons and demonic forces around you. Notwithstanding, many people today are going through demonic possession and oppression, which cause a lot of destruction and setback in their lives.

By and large, God is greater than any evil or demonic forces that operate in the dark world. Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). God has His servants whom He has equipped and empowered to deal with any demonic forces which cause destruction and oppression. Notwithstanding, God did not give you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love, and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Sicknesses, setbacks, limitations, and oppressions have no place in your life. If you have been possessed and oppressed by demonic forces, there is deliverance for you.
