“Only one life, ’twill soon be past. Only what’s done for Christ will last” (C.T. Studd).

The above quote depicts the important mission one has in fulfilling their God-given purpose(s), while yet alive on this earth.

God has created you with a purpose in mind, and that purpose should be fulfilled, in order to bring Him glory and advance His Kingdom. Nonetheless, there are people today who are busy trying to obtain fame and fortune, while putting God’s agenda on the back burner.

Although this maybe so, when all is said and done, if your fame and fortune cannot make a difference in the lives of others, in order to bring them to Christ, then it’s a wasted effort. This is so, because you are only advancing your Kingdom, instead of God’s Kingdom, in order to bring attention to yourself, have people praise and hold you in high regard, and receiving all the privileges associated with fame and fortune.

Don’t get this all twisted, God wants you to be successful, however, He wants you to put His agenda first, by seeking Him first and advancing His Kingdom. In so doing, He will reward you, by giving you the desires of your heart (Matthew 6:33). When you advance God’s Kingdom instead of yours, this will bring about a lasting effect. Most importantly, you will bring people to Christ and build up His Kingdom. Furthermore, long after you are gone, people will be inspired by how you have lived your life and the differences you have made in the lives of others.

God and His business should be first priority in your life. In so doing, whatever you do, you will do it unto the glory of God. By and large, He will be pleased with your effort in putting Him first, and you will begin to see how well things start to progress in your life and your affairs.
